Hi!
I'll begin my story in 1981. My wife Lori and I had been married for less than a year and
the writing was on the wall. Things were not going well between us. I wanted our
relationship to work but things were only getting worse.
One night Lori and I had a big fight, she left and I was very upset. I remember pacing the
lounge floor like a lion in a cage. I knew I was at fault too and I began to pray I asked
God to help me, to bring Lori back and I would not doubt Him again.
Lori did come back but we began to fight again. The next morning things really began to
change. I don't remember much of that morning but Lori does. I got up early, made Lori
breakfast and was really happy. Soon after I mentioned to someone at work that I was a
Christian. He looked shocked until he realised it had only just happened.
I began to have a hunger for the Bible and as I began to read Gods word I began to grow as
a Christian. It's been nearly 16 years since then I've had my ups and downs but Jesus has
never left me. I have grown to love Him and appreciate Him more and more as He has shown
Himself to me. Lori and I have had many difficulties and even now we have a long way to
go, but Jesus has taught us how to really love and forgive each other. When I see how much
Jesus forgives me and how much it cost Him when He suffered and died on that cruel cross,
He gives me the power to overcome.
I hope and pray that if you don,t already know and love Jesus you soon will. It is then
that you will begin to realise that Jesus is God and that to be His child completely
satisfies.
Yours Sincerely and Prayerfully,
Paul |
